Companies using Teams with Office 365 (E1 and E3 plans) can purchase Phone System and Audio Conferencing add-on licenses.  Office 365 E5 plans include the Phone System license, with Audio Conferencing add-on licenses available for purchase.  Learn more about Licensing.

Direct Routing for Teams

For Teams with Phone System, Microsoft has enabled Direct Routing. Instead of requiring customers to purchase a Domestic or International Calling Plan from Microsoft, customers using Teams have the option to use their preferred telco provider.

With Altigen SIP trunks, calls can be directly routed directly to Teams or to Altigen’s cloud Auto Attendant, for advanced call routing and queuing. With Direct Routing our customers benefit from lower SIP trunk costs as well as being able to use Altigen’s advanced call routing and queuing applications in conjunction with Teams.
