MaxMobile brings Microsoft Lync to your smartphone.
Make and recieve Lync calls and Instant Messages as if you were at your desk. Browse the Corporate Directory in search of a contact or check your Favorites List to see the presence & status of your coworkers. Update your status on the fly. It's that simple.
Connection and Login
What does the icon in the top with the red image mean?
I am not receiving calls. What should I do?
I cannot log in and my company has changed some MaxMobile settings. What should I do?
Why do I see "Unable to access Voicemail" when I try to log in?
Instant Messaging
What happens if I send an IM to a contact who has a Lync status "Do Not Disturb?"
However, if you have an active IM thread with a user who changes to DND status, messages will continue to be delivered until the DND user signs out of MaxMobile and signs back in. After that, DND mode will take effect and no IMs will be delivered.
How do I switch an IM conversation from my phone to Lync on my computer?
I set "Deliver all IMs to this device" to Off. Why do some IMs still go to my iPhone?
Conference Calling
What happens if I put a conference call on hold?
I tried to initiate a conference call, but it does not work. Why?
1. Choose a connected call and select Conference.
2. Call the next participant. You can talk to that person as needed.
3. Select Conference again. The new party joins the conference.
4. Repeat this process to add other participants to the conference.
Why am I unable to conference the same number more than once?
Why am I unable to conference another outside number?
Calling
What happens if I turn off my phone during a call?
Why won't my call go through?
What happens if I answer a call in my computer's Lync window?
Someone called and hung up before I could answer. Why don't I see this call in the Call Log screen?

Audio
Why did I lose the sound on my MaxMobile phone call?
• If MaxMobile was in the background and an audio event occurred, such as an alarm, an alert, or an incoming iPhone call, when you return to the MaxMobile call, you may not hear the other party (yet the call still shows as "Connected"). Tap the Speaker / Bluetooth button (switch the call to a different audio path) to try to regain the voice stream.
• While on a VoIP call, if you walk around and move between two different networks (for example, from 3G to Wi-Fi), you may lose your voice stream.
• If you plan to travel outside of your Wi-Fi range, go into your iPhone settings and disable the Wi-Fi setting before you place your call.
• While on a VoIP call, if a PSTN cell phone call comes in, you may momentarily lose the voice stream on the call while you tap Decline.
Why can I not adjust the volume of alerts?
Does changing my MaxMobile audio device change it for my iPhone?
Bluetooth
We recommend that you connect only one Bluetooth device to your iPhone. In addition, if your iPhone is on iOS4, we suggest that you do not change audio paths during a call or while listening to voicemail (in other words, avoid switching from handset to Bluetooth or vice versa).
How do I move the voice path from my Bluetooth earpiece to the handset?
• If you do not see your Bluetooth device as a choice, turn that device off, then back on again.
• If your iPhone is running on iOS4, while on a call you can switch from one audio device to another, as needed.
• For iOS5 iPhones, if you do not see the choices Handset and Speaker, turn off your Bluetooth device and/or unplug your earpiece.
My Bluetooth device is not in my iPhone audio list anymore. How do I recover it?
• Send MaxMobile to the background, listen to your iPhone voicemail and choose Bluetooth from there
• Switch to the speaker or the handset, then try to reselect the Bluetooth device
• On the iPhone, turn off Bluetooth (in Settings) and then turn it on again and reconnect
• Turn your Bluetooth device off, then turn it on again
Why did the audio path switch to the handset?
• If you try to connect to a Bluetooth headset (through the iPhone settings) while a call is coming in, then the audio may be diverted to the handset or speaker.
• In some cases, a call will ring on the iPhone speaker even when you have the audio source set to a Bluetooth device. This occurs primarily when you have MaxMobile in the background and are in a different application.
• If you choose to listen to voicemail messages on a Bluetooth device, if a call comes in during the message playback, then you must choose that Bluetooth device to answer the call.
Calling
Why did I hear my music and a MaxMobile call ring at the same time?
What happens when two calls come in at the same time?
I did not notice a call coming in. Why?
I declined an incoming call. Why does the call show as "Connected?"
Why does the Call screen say just "Ring" when some calls come in?
General
How can I force MaxMobile to close?
1. Double-press the iPhone Home button.
2. In the list of recently used applications, tap and hold the MaxMobile icon until the red minus sign appears.
1. Tap the red minus sign to close the MaxMobile application.
4. Press the iPhone Home button twice to return to the main screen.
5. Restart MaxMobile.
If a call comes in while you are viewing the list of active apps, you will not see or hear the incoming call.
I switched to a different iPhone, and now my Favorites are missing. Why?
An incoming call was automatically answered. Why?
This can occur if you have MaxMobile open and have pulled down the iPhone notifications bar to open the notifications screen. While that screen is open, MaxMobile may automatically answer incoming calls.
