Overview of MaxMobile Server Architecture

In the following diagram, most of the MaxMobile server roles run in the DMZ and are not required to be joined to the domain. The MaxMobile proxy is separated from the server that runs the rest of the MaxMobile roles, is joined to the domain, and runs in the Lync Trusted Application pool.

By separating the Proxy server role, the MaxMobile client does not directly access a domain- joined server. [Click the diagram to enlarge]
