Technical Support Engineer

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Ø  Provide First/Second level phone technical support to AltiGen’s Worldwide Dealer Network.

Ø  Utilize in house web based call tracking system for all cases.

Ø  Provide email support.

Ø  Provide support via remote access clients to troubleshoot customer issues.

Ø  Must have the ability to work different time shifts and provide on-call requirements, as needed, to service call volumes and business needs.

Ø  Travel to support field installations when necessary.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ø  Familiar with standard business concepts, practices and procedures, within the Telecommunications and Data industries.

Ø  2+ years experience in supporting VoIP, PBX or Call Center products.

Ø  Strong IP, LAN/WAN networking background with in-depth knowledge in internetworking devices and VoIP is essential.

Ø  Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Ø  Prior IT experience a +

Ø  BS CS/EE, and/or MSCE/MSCT preferred, but not required.
