General Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to be a member of a small team focused on Software Quality Assurance test efforts on our Smartphone based Mobility applications for business and our award winning VoIP soft switch telecommunications products at our San Jose, California Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and participating in the testing of AltiGen's Mobility Software Applications/Releases, and other related projects.
  • Creation, augmentation, documentation, and execution of feature/system level test plans and test cases.
  • Capture, analyze, and summarize test results.
  • Record and track defects through the defect tracking system
  • Validate fixed defects

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in Telecommunications related QA projects (preferably Smartphone applications and/or VoIP telecommunications systems) including all planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Working knowledge of Smartphone devices such as Apple iPhone, Android, Blackberry
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS platforms
  • Basic understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be committed to a philosophy of teamwork and cooperation with others.

Desirable:

  • Experience with VMware.
  • Experience in software test automation development and implementation
  • Experience using packet sniffers to analyze network traffic
  • C++ and/or Visual Basic experience
