General Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to be a member of a small team focused on Software Quality Assurance test efforts on our award winning VoIP soft switch telecommunications products at our San Jose, California Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coordinating, and participating in the testing of AltiGen's Mobility and Lync related Software Releases, and other related projects.
  • Representing the QA organization in AltiGen's operation working closely with other functional areas of the company.
  • Leading in the creation, augmentation, documentation, and execution of feature/system level test plans and test cases.
  • Leading all project execution, status tracking, and measurement.
  • Capture, analyze, and summarize test results.
  • Record and track defects through the defect tracking system
  • Validate fixed defects
  • Automated test case build out

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience leading Telecommunications related Software QA projects (preferably in VoIP telecommunications systems and/or Smartphone application testing) including all planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • In depth knowledge of Windows OS platforms
  • Must have at least basic experience with VMware.
  • Basic understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, etc.
  • Must have experience in automated test equipment and test methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be committed to a philosophy of teamwork and cooperation with others

Desirable:

  • Experience in software test automation development and implementation;
  • Experience with release engineering activities (build management, release documentation, source control and archival);
  • Experience using packet sniffers to analyze network traffic;
  • Experience with Beta testing/monitoring;
  • C++ and/or Visual Basic experience.
